Although he didn't perform any spectacular miracles, Saint Dominic did, in fact, found the Dominican Brotherhood. An austere man, Dominic himself refused to eat meat, would only wear the most threadbare clothes, and never allowed himself the comfort of an actual bed. He traveled barefoot, and believed strongly in praising even discomforts such as cold and rain. To Dominic, even the greatest struggles in life were reasons to thank God.
